Now I have a device with a working screen but whenever I turn on the device, it comes on, asks for date, time and which voice I want but that's as far as it goes. Now the screen works, so my fault all along was a faulty screen. I bought myself and new screen and fitted the screen. It finds the device, says it needs updates and does its thing. I formatted the device and wiped everything from the device and reconnected to tomtom home. Then someone suggested formatting the device and reloading everything from scratch. I tried all the usual stuff like factory reset, reloading software through tomtom home etc. Before discovering this forum, I listened to other so called in the knows and was lead to believe that it could be a software issue. I had problems with the screen not responding to touch.
